It has been a long time since I have posted and so much has been going on. As a personal trainer I am always telling my clients to put themselves first for at least 30 minutes of the day, take time out of their busy daily schedule and get their exercise done. That is why I feel like a hypocrite…..why you ask?

I have spent so much time lately building my own personal training business and especially promoting my outdoor group personal training sessions that I have not taken time out for myself and as a result I have gained weight. I feel sluggish and fat! But the time has come to get back in control and practice what I preach and with the added incentive of a 6 week challenge (and a possible $5000 prize money) I am going to shed the unwanted weight that has crept on.

This will be my ongoing journey where I will be open and honest, after all even though I am a personal trainer I am still human and weight loss is not an easy journey for anybody! Oh, but I won’t be doing it alone. My husband will also be embarking on the journey with me. Unfortunately Andrew is not so keen to tell his side of the story to the public, so I may just have to sneak in a few tidbits here and there to let you know how he is going!

So today is day 1 and I had to get on the scales this morning….ooohhhhh, 72.7kg not happy but don’t worry it’s not going to be that for very much longer. Today is the start of a healthier, leaner me.

Now I love exercise, that is why I guess I feel so awful and so sluggish because I have not been doing anything. Now even though I love to exercise cardio is my downfall so this morning I had to force myself up out of bed early and hit the streets. My first cardio session of the challenge was 30 minutes of interval training and what a workout it was, I got home absolutely drenched but it felt great to be moving again!

Well that is about it for now, no pictures yet….too embarrassing. As I progress I will post my before and after photos but for now there will be none :) So until my next update, happy exercising!

Oh but before I go I had better log my days eats:

7am - 2 egg omelet with spinach

10am -protein shake

12.30pm - 100g cottage cheese

4.00pm - large salad with 100g kangaroo sausage, 1 tbsp lf dressing

8.30pm - large salad with 100g chicken breast, 1 tbsp lf dressing

3 litres water, 5 green tea

Great start to my 6 week challenge, I’m happy ;)
